BLOG NEWS
Always happy to welcome you to my blog news where you can take a glimpse into what more I am doing these days as I work on commissions of old homes and ways of transport. For all those interested in having their old family homes painted, I would ask that you send a picture in my email so that I could have a look at it. It can be an old black and white photo or it can be coloured. Normally I like to sit with the client and get a feel for what that place called home meant to them; get an idea of the flowering trees and the way the light fell on the places; things that bring back favorite memories to them. So you can contact me for a meeting by email: artbyclayton@gmail.com

RECENT UPDATES
Some of my work may be headed to the isle of Barbados where it will be featured in a restaurant that is opening there and will all be for sale.
A few of my pieces will be made available through the new gallery of In2Art Gallery And Frame Shop in Aldegonda Park 7, St Ann's, Port of Spain. So any one in the area do go in and ask for the work of Clayton de Freitas. In that gallery you will find ten of my pieces - all from this year's exhibition entitled 'Trinidad':
Phagwah Celebrations
The View
The Clearing
Sunday Lime
Deserted Beach
Orchid Grower
Sugarcane Loader
Belmont Parlour
Piccadilly Corner
Flower Vendor
Please contact me either by email or by phone if you are interested in purchasing any of the other paintings for sale.
Many people have asked what my theme for next year will be and as I have written in my last blog, it will all be revealed bit by bit. However the commissioned work - to those of my clients who look at my site from time - these pieces will be first completed before another exhibition is on its way.

REQUESTS
Some clients have asked to have birds painted and although I am a nature lover and will do the occasional Humming Bird or Scarlet Ibis, I have decided that there are so many artists out there from well known ones to ones now rising that paint birds so I shall not be painting birds in any of my exhibitions - sorry to disappoint anyone there. Also i am not into portraits I have been asked more than once to do one or two for families and friends of clients but it's not my forte.

Please feel free to post up your thoughts, experiences or questions by clicking on comments just below.

Take Care,

Clayton
